The adjourned inquest into the circumstances attending tho death of Peter Ewart, who was killed in u tramway accident at Paroa Sawmill on Tuesday last, was resumed tin's afternoon. A verdict was returned that deceased met liis death by being thrown from n runaway truck on which lio was acting as brakesman. SUDDEN DEATH. Foxton, Jiily 7. A sudden death occurred licro shortly beforo o o'clock this evening. Mrs. Henderson, relict of the late Mr. William Henderson, a well-known Marton settler, was on a visit to hci" daughter, Mrs. A/Hawke, and had just returned from paying an afternoon call, when she complained of feeling unwell nnd died in n few minutes. Robert M'Whirter, who was injured through falling ojit of an, upstairs bedroom window at.a "country hotel, died in tho Hospital. The. body of William Cochrane, who was drowned in tho Molu River a fortnight ago, has been discovered near where the man's cries were heard on the night of tho fatality. INQUIRY INTO WORKMAN'S DEATH. Auckland, July 7. A somewhat lengthy inquest was held to-day concerning tho death of Thomas I Bullaml, a workman who fell over 30 feet on Monday while engaged on n building in Queen Street nnd died almost immediately. Deceased was on a i heavy girder, which was being lifted into position by steam power. A link; in n heavy chain suddenly broke, and a falling block from tho tackle struck deceased on tho head,and he fijllon to tho log 3 below, receiving fatal injuries. Expert evidence was to the effect that the metal in the steel chain was rendered brittle by tho frost of the ■previous night, and this probably ca,used it to break. The Coroner, after full-inquiry, found that death was accidental, 'no blame, being attachable to anyone. BOY'S LEG FRACTURED. (Bi Tcleirach.— Special Correjpnnttent.) Pahlatua, July 7. A lad named Lowry, son of n Makom'ako settler, fractured his leg ' nhilo playing football at the Makcmako School tho other day. i
