They do not expect to retura to Now Zealand till the end of nest year. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred J. Thomson, -of Invereargill, who carho te this country in company with tho Rov. and Mrs. Gibson Smith, of St. Andrew's, Wellington, has been in Glasgow for a month, and hopes to spend tho next year touring England, Scotland, and the Continent. Sho roturned to London last- week to meet her sister, who' bv tfcs Orsova. Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Smeeton, af Mount Eden, with their family, are in London. Mrs. Smecton goes to Stockholm next month as Auckland delegate to the Triennial Conference of tte Y.W.C.A. Mr. Smecton will join his wife over there, and, they will tiicn spend some weeks touring Jfens'iio?, Gelmany, and Holland before returning to England, when they will motor through tho south and west country. Miss Edna Smeeton has takon up study of tiro pianoforte and 'cello at the R, A.M., and is living at West Ilaiwistcad.
