BAILLIE PICTURES
RESULT OF THE ART UNION. The art union in connection with tho Baillio exhibition of British pictures was drawn last evening at tho exhibition gallery, in the presence of a number of citizens. Tho drawing resulted as follows:—Mr. P. Wren, Dargaville, 1; Mr, L. R. Partridge, Auckland, 2; Mr. J. H. Upton, Auckland, 3; Mr. Ji Crowther, Remuera, 4; Mr. J. Leech, Auckland, ■5; Mr. G. S. Pilkington, Auckland,' 6; Colonel Roth, Sydney, 7; Air. T. W. Butcher, Wellington, 8; Mr. L. R. Partridge, Auckland, 9; Mr. Stickett, Auckland, 10; Mr. R. Norton Mangonoko, 11; Mr. J. A. Coogan, Patea. 12. The first prize is "Springtime," by H' M. (Rheam, R. 1.; the second is "A Wreck at Bude," tho third "An English.'Cottage;" fourth, "A Roadside Cottago;" fifth, "Oats and Thistles;" and the rest of the prizes are etchings. . . . •
