In reference to tho Now Zealand Rugby Union's statement re Wanganui's complaint regarding tlio North Island selection, the local union explains that it did not suggest that tlio New Zealand Union should interfcro with the selectors. Tho letter stated that tlio union strongly resented tho selectors accepting office if they wcro not prepared to make themselves acquainted with tho various players throughout the Island. If 1 they were not it was simply an insult to ask local selectors to nominate players for consideration.
