SENIOR GAMES POSfPONEC. ~ f Hockey players turned out in full force at Karon on Saturday afternoon, : but rain sai in, and with the exception of the fijial of the seven-a-sido tourney and a third-class fixture all men's games were postponed. A most surprising matter was that the postponement, coi)imit> tee did not put off the'belies' matches. It is understand, however, that this matter was left to the .teams themselves to decide. As matters turned out the ladies to\ik the fteid and continued their scrambles in the mad eran when the rain increased to .a downpour. The games, however, had eventually to be abandoned. ' SKVEX-A-HDE FINAL. The final of the, seven-a-side me.n'.c tourney between Karori and University was merely a scramble in r.ait), mud and slush._ The suburbanites were more at- hofiie in these unusual enilftitions, and did most of the attacking. There : was no score at the eali of time, liow- : ever; and both teams changed round. At length Brcoker scored for Karori, thereby winning the tourney for his side. Mr. O. M'iSenzie- was reform. ! THIRD-CLASS MATCH, A third-class fixture was played between Wellington A and Wesley, Tim Wellington team Won easily by 10 goals to ail. So far ft© winning team has played and won fife matches this season, having secured in all 4:0 goals with Pot a point.against theft. 1 PLAY AT PETONE; ■' Two games were played at- Petone. One was a ladies' 1 senior fixture _ tietweeli Ramblers A and St. Augustine's, and the former won by two .goals to »iL The other game at Petoue was a junior men's fixture. lir this St. Augustine's defeated Eilhiriiie Anglican' by five goals to two, A. Wehley i 3). J. Webky, and L. Wehley scored. Tty-lo-T and Weatherall scored for the losers.
