James Paddon, the Australian sculler, has invited' Ernest Barry, world's champion, to agree to August' 24 as the date ,for their match. " Paddon is rowing twice daily -to /become familiar with the Thames water. His hands are blistered and sore, but his sculling has considerably improved. Barry has not yet sterted training. He is now at Henley coaching Dibbel, the .Canadian, for the Diamond Sculls.
