At the annual meeting uf the Pcto-ne Bowling Club last evening, Mr. 11, Palmer presiding, the rcpoii- ami* bafcujeesheet, a precis of winch has been published, were atlopted. There was » 1 tilf. attendance, and Messrs. Green, Mackenzie, Olson, and Gray were added to the members'' list. It'was decided to pay £y.3 olf the mortgage on the club's property. The following officers were ' elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mr. A. Cowie; vise-president, Mr. J. J. Castlo; secretory. Mr. (i. H. Gate; treasurer, Mr. J. Castle; trustee on committee, Mr. A. Carter, tanuaso* ment committee, Messrs. .("m-dl-ay, Hay, Marsdcn, Melhuish. M\lswqi'i, and Wilson ; match committee. Messrs. Fowler, Melhuish, and M'Eweli-, delegates. lfl Wellington Centre, Messrs'. Coles, Palmer, and Wylie. A social and dance was lipid at the King George Theatre, Lower Hutt, hist evening, in aid of necessary alterations to the Convent. There \nis a large attendance. The objeet of tho gathering was to .entertain and thank all those that assisted in the recent band carnival.
