The British oil ship San Valoro reports tho loss of six of her crow, who, when the vessel sprang a leak, volunteered to enter the hold, the air of which was full of poisonous gas, generated by tho oil, and rescue a comrade who had been overcome while working therein. The first mate (Mr. Elliott) entered the bow hold in search of tho leak, but was overcome. Four Englishmen and one Finn followed in an endeavour to rescue Mr. Elliott. All died. The six men were buried in tho sand dunes near Tuxpan, Mexico, off where the accident occurred.'
