Jftnaesoil presided., It was decided to take proceedings ifi a east* which wis brought under the society's notico by the inspector (Mr. J. Henry). Tho inspector stated that a horso had been found working with a ; $we under tho cotlM. Tl'.o inspector also reportod two ' eases of alleged ifoglcct iu respect to horses, ono at Lower Hutt and ono at Trentham. Oil . June .2, 4, and 6. horses had also teen discovered in. a state unfit for work. Various other cases were reported. The inspector also mentioned that be hud visited Johnsonrillo during a salo day, and had found a sheep near the union dine platform which had apparently : been trampled to death.
