QUESTION OF AMATEUR STATUS. By Telesro.pl]— Press Association—OoDyriehl (Rec. June 9, 11.55 p.m.) Budapesth, Juno 9. The International Amateur Swimming Federation has replied in the negative to Australia's question as to whether a swimming organiser and instructor, paid by the Education Department!, could be considered an amateur. The Federation carried the English resolution that the amateur status of a school master teaching swimming as part of tho school curriculum is not endangered.
