Some peasants found the body of a man who had committed suicide lying on a forest path in Geneva, with a Browning revolver clutched in his lifeless hand, tho fingers being still on tho trigger. A gendarmo who had been sent by tho authorities to examino tho corpse touched this hand, and tho revolver went off, tho gendarmo baing shot in tho stomach and killed.
