'Shipments of fruit from New South Wales came jo hand this week in slightly increased quantities, and met a very keen demand at tho Blair and Allen Streets Markets, but Island oranges continue to quit rather slowlv. Bananas are due to arrive this morning, but no sales aro so far reported. Shipments ot locally-grown pip fruits show a decided falling, with a naturally increasing demand. Vegetables of all kinds- continue* to arnvo in fair quantities, choice cauliflower commanding very liigh prices. Potatoes aro easier in. tho south, but onions are unaltered. Fresh aiid preserved .eggs aro in short supply at lato rates..
