Rhodes ' at Christchurch, and tho Hon. Dr. Pomaro at Rnrotonga. The other Cabjnet Ministers are iu Wellington, The Hon. W. Fraser (Minister of Public Works) will probably visit Nelson and Motueka. and perhaps Kaikoura and Blenheim, before Parliament meets, Mr. J.'R. Triggs, Conciliation Commissioner for tho southern district, is at present in Wellington. { Mr. J. P. Murphy, chief clerk in tho Stamps Department at Wellington, has gone to 'Dunedin to take up the position of Deputy-Commissioner of Stamps at Dunedin. Before leaving the Wellington office he was presented by tho Commissioner (Mr. P. C. Corliss), on behalf of tho staff, with a suit-caso and a travelling-rug. Mr. J. G. W. Aitken has decided to seek re-election to tho Wellington Education Board at tho elections nest month, Mr, P, B. Fitzherbert loaves Dannovirke at the end of this month for Auckland, whero it is his intention to take up prac.tico in tho legal profession. It is also announced, says the Auckland "Star," that Mr. Fitzherbert will probably stand as a candidate for tho Grey Lynn seat at the forthcoming general election.
Mr. John Swinson, of Wellington, who was injured in the railway disaster at -Whanganiarino on May 27, is still in tho hospital at Hamilton.
