A meeting of representatives of dairy companies in Auckland proviuco was bold at Hamilton- last night to discuss tlic grading.anil'marketing of produce. Mr. Wton, president of the National Dniry Association, who presided, suggested that, the South Auckland companies should follow on the lines of tho North Auckland Conference on Mondaylast. ■ Opposition came from Mr. Goodfellow, Waikato Go-operative Dairv Company, who considered that tho difficulties of inferior supplies'would best be met by individual companies grading and having sufficient backbone to return inferior ci'eam. . - ■■ : In view of this: opposition a resoldtioii was passed asking for signatures to an agreement in the direction of standardising the quality of cream acceptable and-to. lie paid'for purity and quantity of butter-fat. Twelve .companies signed'and another agreed to i ecommend signature. Mr. Goodfellow refused.
