URGENT CALLS TO DOCTORS

Mitchell, a commercial traveller, a- witness, Mr. E. C. Chegwin, a/sked tho coroner if anything could be clone to investigate the position in regard to summoning medical assistance. He bad rung up several doctors, wt tho only I answer ho got was that thsy were all out. In one instance at least he had reason to holievo that such was not tho'casc. as the answers to .his inquiries indicated as much. Mitchell was lying at the station about ,of ail hour before medical assisiaueo arrived. Ho considered tho .majority of the doctors displayed great carelessness in theso instances. Tlio coroner said it was net a matter for him to deal with. If doctors were.said to be out it wmiM be difficult to provo that they wore not. It was a matter for the Press. Bo was purfeotly convinced, Jwwover, that Mitchell was beyond medical assistan.ee.- and his life could not been saved by ally doctor. It was plainly the oxtra'exertion of hurrying to eirtfeh a train that caused his death. Ho had- tfeait with dozens of similar oases.
