At last night's mooting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Hugby Union there were present: Messrs. E. 0. Hales (chairman), W. .Hardliam, D. D. Weir, A. E. Wilson, E. .A. Little, and W. Buck. A letter wns rcecivpd from" tlie llutt Football Club complaining iliat after members of their team had journeyed to Kelbunio Park last Saturday to play against St. Patrick's College, the ground was declared unfit for football. The letter asked for a refund of train and tram fares (amounting to '225. 6d.), or, in the alternative, that the next draw with St. Patrick's Collego ho fixed for the rititt ground. It whs decided to refund tlio amount of travelling expensas and to forward the. club's letter to the City Council, pointing out that the arrangement with the union had been that if "the city reserves were declared fit for play at 11 a.m. the declaration should stand for the day. The Sclwyn Football Club wrote stating that tlio club's fourth-class team lad not defaulted to Berhainporo last Saturday, but had ljeeii under the impression that Wukcfielcl Park was not available, ns the club captain had communicated with tlio Superintendent of Reserves by telephone. It was resolved not to penalise the Selwyu Club on this occasion, but to point out that fixtures could only bo postponed by the Kiigby Union's Postponement Committee. . In reply to a letter from the Hawke's Bay Kugby Union it was decided to inform; that union that it would not be possible to send a Wellington, representative team to Napier this season. In regard to representative matches with Tarauaki and Wairarapa it was decided that the A toam should be sent to play against each of these unions— the Wairarapa match to take place at Masterton on June 20 and the Taranaki match at Hawera on Juno 2\. . The Baseball League wrote iiiriiiinng as to tho terms of a leaso of Athletic Park for the summer months. It was decided to ask the League to make- an offer and a committee wan appointed to denl with any offer received. For Saturday, June 13. senior matches were fixed to he plavod as follow:— Potono v. Athletic; University v. Melrose; St. James y. Wellington; Poneko v. Oriental.
