THE fINA-L DECISION, GARAGE SITE & TYPE OF BUS, A special meeting of the PeteiM Borouiih Council was Twld last evening to consider matters in connection with tho projected motor-bus service. Tenders far buses and a garage site were, tho main features of the business taken, Tho Mayor (Mr. J. W. M'Ewam) presided. and there was a full attendance of councillors. Mr. L. S. Brake, City Council Motor Irispec-tor, Wits present, at the invitation, ef the council. Garage Sits, A. site in Cuba Street hatl been decided on for the garage at a previous meeting, but on the mot-ion of Councillor Anderson this was rescinded. Tho Mayor thought that Jackson Street would B&t b° central enough, and a central site, was it main consideration, as the buses would, have ?« start- tlwir runs from various joints in the borough. Councillor Anderson moved that the Jackson Street site be- selectqd. Ooonpillor Brocklobank moved a-s sn ameiidinent: "That' the gasworks site ho chosen." Drake stated that the woriiidriven car was the most satisfactory typo, being in every way superior to tho chain-driven car.
