THE RULING QUOTATIONS.
This week's San Francisco steamer brought the usual monthly consign- 1 ments of bananas and oranges, both lines being on tho short side. Hie conditions of both lilies on arrival were very good. The season for Australian fruit has now started, this week's stoamer bringing along small consignments of'pineapples, passions, and mandarins, all of which met with very keen demand. Supplies of local fruit are coming to hand in very fair quantity, but the sainplo of most kinds of dessert apples is very poor. Tomatoes continue to ccmo to hand in small quantities, with a very poor demand.' • • Vegetables of all kinds are now reiCeiving..v,ery, .good attention, with cauliflowers ruling at very high rates.
