OBITUARY.

THE LATE MRS. T. H. ELLISON. One of the early settlers of Wellington has passed, away in the person of Mrs, T. H. Ellison, who died at her son's residence at Lower Hutt on Thursday morning, Mrs. Ellison was the eldest daughter of the late Mr. Nun Wilton, one of the band of old colonists, who laid the foundations of Wellington. He left a family of thirteen, in which the death of Mrs. Ellison has caused the first gap. The deceased, who was 71 years of age, was born in Somersetshire, England, and arrived in Wellington at the age of 15. Her husband died 23 years ago, and she is survived by seven children (two sons and five daughters.) She possessed a most kindly disposition and was greatly esteemed by all who knew her. The interment will take place at the Sydney Street Cemetery this afternoon.
