A CONFERENCE AT DUNEDIN. (By Tetouraih.—l'rafs Association.) - , p'Ußetflil, :May , ' A conference af. those interested in kindergarten work was held this afternoon. Amongst those present were Messrs. G M. Thomson, M.l'., G. Hogben (Inspector-General of Schools), S. Braik (Chief Inspector of Schools, Wan'ganui), and C. H. Richardson (Chitf Inspector of O'tago). The conference discussed tiio inter-relation of tho Kindergarten Association with the train* ing colleges, and passed resolutions regarding extension of the probationer system to kindergarten schools, ais.o regarding, the question of reciprocity between, kindergartens and t-raiiimg. colleges for the mutual benefit'o.f. students. The conference also disciigsed tho question of extension of kindergarten System into tho primary school system. Other matters'brmig-ht up were extension of tho age at which children might remain at kindergartens, and the question of registration of qualified educational institutions. Resolutions dealing with these matters we.ro adopted, and will' bo forwarded to the Minister of Education,
