Coloiiel Heard leaves for England oil July 10.. His appointment to New Zealand dates fro® October 14, 1910. Lieutenant-Colonel Collins's appointment dates from November 1, 1912.--Colonel Hoard will be succeeded by Lieutenant-Colonel W. G. Brait-hwaitc, who is at present General Staff Offiwr in tho Auckland Military District, and Lieutenant-Colonel Coffin.® will be succeeded by Colonel B. TV, 0. Chaytor, officer commanding the Wellingtoii District (with headqilftrtets at Palmerston North). No announcement has as yet been made as to Colonel Braithwaite's and Colonel Chsytor's succossors, .but it is believed that Major F. B. Johnston, of tho Indian Army (» ion of 'the Hon. C. J. Joluiston, M.L.C.), who is at present an a year's furlough in New Zealand,., lias been offered Mia temporary command of the Wellington district while in New Zftalaiid.
