AUSTRALIAN AND NEW ZEALAND SHIPS AT BATTLE PRACTICE. ' By Telezraph—Presa Association— Copyrient Sydney, May 27. ■ The Fedoral Defenca Minister, Senator Milieu,, states that tho Commonwealth Government has readily adopted the Imperial authorities' siiggestion to pormit tho Imperial warships on tho New Zealand station to participate in the annual battlo practice with the Australian Navy towards tho end of the year. Ho added that tho Australian Navy was essentially part of tho Imperial fleet, ready to co-oporate with tho other Imperial forces, both in times of peace- and war.
Although Cabinet had not yot considered the Now Zealand Government's request for the Australian warships to visit the Dominion, Mr. Millen anticipates that the Ministry will endorse tho proposal.
