A meeting of the Ceuneil of the Wellington Zoological Society was held on Saturday afternoon. Tho Rev. J. UTOW6S presided. Tho secretary (Mr. John Castles) reported that the, president and ho' bad reconsidered a proposal (put before the council some time ago), that tho cotuicil ! snould publish a giudo to the Zoo, aad had consulted eover.il business men, who had espressod their fliilingucs* to assist in paying the cost of publicaMon.
