MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. INTER-fSLAND MATCH AHQ THE AUSTRALIAN TOUR. The Management Committee of the Now Zealand Rugby Union nipt lastevening, Mr. N. Gaibrnith presiding. Mr. Galbraith was . re-elected chairman lor the ensuing year, and in returning thanks said that- lie would do liis best to warrant the confidence that the committee reposed in him. The chairman welcomed Messrs. W. Berry.and I. Hyams, who had recently been appointed to the committee. Among the recommendations which were received from the annual meeting was an application from the Ha vice's Bay Union for a loan of £1000 for a ground at Hastings. Mr. Wylie moved that provided the title and .valuations wore satisfactory tlie loan be granted to the Hnwke's Bay Union on the security of the Hastings Sub-union. The rate of interest was fixed at 6 per cent, reducablo to 4 J per cent- oil punctual payments, within 14 days. It was provided that the in* tercst must- be paid -half-yearly and repayment must ha made at tlio rate of £50 per annum. Mr. Dixon moved an amendment that the. amount be reduced-to £-750 and this was carried. A snij-eoinniittee consisting of Messrs. 'Wylie, Laaghton and Hyams was appointed to gu into the question of school grants. • It was decided that the annual interIsland match be- played at Wellington on June 20. Messrs.-Lynskey (Wellington), Gallagher (Auckland)," and MaJono (Taranaki) were appointed North Island selectors, and Messrs. Wilson (Canterbury), ttassall (South Canterbury); and Harris (Otagb) selectors for tlie Sonth Island team. Messrs. Wilson and Lynskey were appointed conveners.

It was also suggested that if the New Zealand team is to leave Sydney for Wellington on August IS the Union Company should bo approached with a view to,having the vessel's departure delayed till 7' p.m. on that date.
