VISIT TO WANGANUI. (By Telegraph.—PreEa Association.l Wanganui, May 19. General Sir lan Hamilton arrived at Wanganui this afternoon, and inspected six hundred cadets, who took part in a sham light. Tho General also inspected u good muster of men who had seen service in South'.Africa, and a number of .veterans of liulia, Crimen, and Kew Zealand wars. One of the oldest veterans who saw a great deal of service is bedridden, and General Hamilton, hearing of this, called on the old gentleman, with whom lie. chatted for some time. In the evening tho General was entertained at dinner by tho Mayor and citizens, and at a smoke concert by the South African servieo men.
