Under the old conditions a large quantity of stock lias been railed away from Oamaru, owing to tho company's inability to cope with it.at tlio old works; the capacity of which wai only about half that of the new. The slaughtering in one day has already exceeded three thousand, and the weekly slaughtering lias averaged twelve to thirteen.thousand.
