The.price of Aromatic Leaf Tobacco has, been constantly advancing for some years. We have hitherto refrained from increasing our prices to our New Zealand smokers, hoping that the cost of raw material might decline. ■ However, prices have continued to advance, «nd are this season tho highest on record. We are, therefore, reluctantly compelled to slightly decrease the net weight of tobacco contained in our aromatic packages, and have adopted tins course rather than increase the retail pi-ice per tin. or reduce the quality.
