The Plunket Society.

Mrs. Algar Williams presided ever a meeting ot the Piunket .Societv held on Friday afternoon., at which the following ladies were present:—Mrs. W. Miss Ivirkcaldie was elected to fill tinvacancy. Mrs. William Luke was added to tho committee. It is proposed to hold n jumble safe very shortly in aid of the funds for the Piunket Home and School for Mothers. Anyone having articles of clothing, furniture, crockery, books, pictures, or anything else, they cannot find a use for arc requested to communicate with any of the committee, who will tell them where to send them. "Coming Out"- 1 Danoe at MastaMon. A. delightful dance was given at "Mama-ku," Mastertott, on F'riilav <n-<ui-iiig by .Mr. and Mrs. Krl WiUiiuiis lo celebrate tiw coming out of Miss Zona VaUmicc, yonnge;- sister of Mrs.' Williams. The rooms were boautifnllv decorated by Miss Burden, whose artistic arrangements were 'much admired. The billiard room was used for dancing, and was decorated with scarlet berries' ami autumn sprays of. varying tints. Tim decorations of the drawingroom were of chrysanthemums in shades'of bronze and gold, while those of the morning room were sprays of Japanese maple and scarlet oak with autumn berries.
