Meetings of tho Wairarapa and East Coast I'. and A. Society's committees wero hold yesterday. The Financo Committee dealt with tho purchase, ol land which will enable the society to enlarge- the entrance to the show grounds, and also received tenders for purchase of cottage, none of which were accepted. Tho question of moving and enlarging tlio Agricultural Hall was considered, and deferred for the Ground Committee to express opinions on the proposals. It has heen resolved to add to the 120 cattle stalls on the ground,\ a double row of large stalls for tho lieavier breed of- cattle' Tho expenditure of the amount- subscribed for tho memorial to the late G. AV. Deller, for many years' treasurer to tho society, was discussed; and it was resolved to obtain' quotations for, the erection of iron gates at the entrance to show grounds. The General Committeo was well attended, Mr. W; H. Booth, Middle Run, president, being in the chair. It was reported that the programme for the ploughing match had been; issued, and special prizes had been generously donated, giving, every prospect of. a good match. The various sub-committees and stewards for the show were appointed,- and canvassers-for prizes ejeqted, and-the society has, generally speaking, started work for tho 1914 show. ..- . ... ■ ;
