CAR OFF THE LINE.
■ ♦ , BLOCK ON THE WADESTOWN ROUTE. Shortly after 11 a.m. yestcrdayj an electric tramcar, travelling from Wades- ' town down the incline through the Queen's Park at a fair pace left the line, and pulled up "all standing." All four wheels left the track, and tho filling at the spot being very soft, owing to the recent heavy rains, tho weight of tho car caused it to sink deeply into tho ground. Tho nature of tho earth made the task of jacking the car back' on to tho track a long and arduous one, and as tho derailed car was standing full on tho track all traffic to Wadd3town!.was bloclied for aboutthree hours. At 2.10 p.m. tho car was back upon tho rails, uninjured by its sudden divergenco from the track. Tlie mishap was caused through a piece of hard metal having been jammed tightly into the groove of the rail.
