o c— The fortnightly practice of tho Wel- ' lington Corps was held on Monday * last, and, despite the rough night, over thirty-live ladies and men attended. The subject for the evening was "Wagon Dritt," and all the- details conn nested with lifting a patient on to a stretcheri lifting tit© stretcher into tho e ambulance van, and removing tbo pan tioirt from the van were fully explained s- by Superintendent Hislop, of the Weli. lington Division. A squad of men waa •- tlieii put through the whole- drill-course, " and afterwards several squads of nurs- - ing sisters went through the drill: The nursing sisters arc very anxious to <e become proficient- in this drill, so tliat >t they may be able to direct when necesd sar.v the loading of the aiubnlaiicc cither ie in cases of accidents or when, persons t arc being removed to. the Hospital in cases of sickness. The thanks of. the ijf brigade are duo to ihe- contractors foj >t plaoing the- vans in handy position; and making room under cover for the pracis tico. : which otherwise would have had to be abandoned.
