Mil. BUICK'S SUPPORTERS MEET. (By Telegraph.—Special Correspondent.) Palmcrston, May 13. The supporters of Mr. D. Buiek, M.P., held n meeting on Tuesday night, Mr. J.' Goring Johnston presiding. A determination was expressed to do everything possible to secure his re-elec-tion, though regret was expressed at the split in the enmp caused by Mr. J. A. Nash's candidature. The speakers included Messrs. 6. H. Bennett, W. A. Browning, C. N. Clausen, A. Ben r nett, J. Wngate, J. Nairn, and Jas. I'arlane. Replying to a question, Mr. Buiek said that lie did not think that Ministors would visit Palnierstou during election time, though the Prime Min■ster would come if desired, lint, personally, he preferred to'light his own battle.
