PRESBYTERY INCIDENT. . (By ■ Tetcsranh.—Press Association ) Auckland, May 13. At a meeting of the Auckland Presbytery tho Itov. A. Murray resigned the convenershlp of the litirsaty Committee, 011 the ground that ho "cannot conscientiously help students to study at n seat of learning under professors, ono 'of whom declared recently that the Old Testament is not tlio Word of find." The Rev. Mr. Bertram objected to an attack'upon the character of men not present to defend themselves. Mr. Murray replied that jio man's character was attacked. Tlie resignation was accepted.
