■ (Prom a Correspondent.) * Greytewn, May 12. Tho Greytown Jshow was held on Thursday and with tho exception of cut blooms was a great success. Considering tho long spell of wet weather people were quite prepared- for a Failure, and ivoro agreeably disappointed Mrs. M'Cracken was the only exhibitor m chrysanthemums in the amateur class, and Mr. Fisher in tho open class, 'I'ho decorative class was well represented and some very fine effects vero shown in autumn tints. Miss J. Humph rios secured the points pnjsn in ikis class. Miss M'Cracken was luckv enough to ni the "double" with lier.tnWp, Raining both judges' and popular votes' with Mrs. ■ Wirr second, anil Mrs Balfour third. Miss M'Cracken also got hrsfc tor mantelshelf with Mrs'. WW second. Miss (Mo M'Craekou we's placed first with her table for girls under 17. .In tho home work class softie very good faitcy work was shown bv two old ladies over 80, for which Mrs Cotter gives a special prize. Both old ladies are inmates of tho Buchanan Home and there was much excitement over their Wins. Hie fruit was confined entirely to apples, of which there w as n fine show, Mr. J. H.
