■ " SURFACE FRIENDSHIP OF ITALY AND AUSTRIA. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright "Times" and Sydney "Sun" Services. (Rec. May 12, 5.25 p.m.) Rome, May 11. Suddenly the Austrian flag was produced, and solemnly burnt; amid howls and hisses, while impassioned orations, denouncing Austria, were delivered by youthful students. The surface friendship of Italy and Austria is wearing rather thin.
