5 DECISION OF MASS MEETING MASTERS , 'TERMS TURNED DOWN By Toloarraph-Prciß Asaooiation-OoDyrJchl (Rec. May 10, 5.5 p.m.) Sydney, May 10. The bakers have decided to strike. At a mass meeting tho operative bakers met to consider tho masters' proposals for a start at 2 p.m., with a -18-hour week, or a start at 11 p.m., and work 4-1 hours. were rejected, the meeting deciding not to work unless tho dough was ready between 8 and 10 a.m. Both masters and men state that there- is plenty of bread available for to-morrow. THE LATEST. STRIKE CALLED OFF. (Rec. May 11, 0.55 a.m.) ' Sydney, May 10. At a in.ass meeting tho bakors decided to call tho strike, off. They have agreed to accept the master's proposal to start vork at noon with a 48 hours' week, wages to be fixed by tho Wages Board.
