HURLING CLUB
o— THE INAUGURAL MEETING. Definite steps were taken last evening to form a Wellington Hurling Club. A largo meeting of intending players and supporters of the game was held in St. Patrick's Hall, Boulcott Street. Mr. G. Faliy presided. .Mr. T. P. O'Sullivan, from Auckland, who had addressed a previous meeting held on Wednesday last, again explained tho game. • .... It was unanimously decided that a club bo formed in Wellington and a rommitce was set up to draft rules, etc. Over seventy members were elected. The election of'officers resulted as follows:— Patron, Mr. Martin Kennedy ; president, Air. L. O'Brien; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. J. M'Parland, J. M'Donald, J. Nolan, M. Brosnan, J. T. Foley; treasurer, Mr. 11. Faliy; secretary, Mr. M. M'Carthy; club captain, Mr. I l '. 1 Slieehan; management committee, Messrs. J. Higgins, S. O'Sullivan, P. Cassidy, and J. Skinner.
