B 'RESUME FOR THE YEAR. • (By Teleeraph—Special Ooiresuomlent.) Palmorston N., May 8. The annual report of tho Foxton Harbour Board, to bo presented next Tuesday, stages that, though £40 was spent in tho movement to securo tho control of tho wharf, and promoto tho' necessary legislation tho matter is still unsettled. Tho year's traffic was represented by 198 vessels of 25,009 tons, as against 231 vessels, of 29,9G7 tons, for the previous year. Tho net wharf earnings in tho past five years had been £1400 per annum. Tho board is undecided as between purchasing tho wharf at the Government's minimum (£?8,000) or accepting Ministerial offers to subsidise tho purchase of a dredge to improvo tho channel.
