In a report on Uso water supply for the year, the borough engineer stated that the amount purchased from the city (sonsinned and accounted for) was gallons. He considered that SOW) gallons would be a fair estimates for borough works, concrete misii.it?, etc. The report was adopted. The power station, engineer (Mr. E. H. lniios) l'cpt/rf.ed that the station had commented the work of supplyim; power for the tramways track, lighting, and sewerage on April 7. The plant had been running satisfactorily, and tlio small difficulties which wero naturally to bo expected from new instalments 'Were being overcome.—Adopted.. The report of the. Works Camni'ittee stated that a letter had boon received from the Miramar Municipal Electors' Association, suggesting that ail afternoon ear, via Courtenay Place, should start from tlio Govenimant Station. The ; committee had decided to explain the position fully to the association. It had also boon decided to 'inform f.h-o' association that the council would talso oter the lighting in the district, and also that the council was . not in tlie. position to deal with the ferry'boat scheme.
