o, REGARDING LOTTERY TICKETS. By Telosrasli—Press Assoointion—Oonyrieht London, May 5. ; Horatio Bottomley (the acting-editor) and Julius Elias (the latter representing the printors of the paper) have been summoned for publishing an article in "John Bull"-containing a proposal and . scheme regarding tickets for lotteries to be run in Switzerland, tho lotteries to bo called "The Grand National Sweepstake" and "The John Bull Derby Sweep." - In each case a certain sum was promised for charities. . Mr. Bottomley contended that tho article- constituted legitimate newspaper controversy. Tho hearing was adjourned.
