A girl attempted to tango with a fnt. man nt the ball. The fat man was a great bungler and he knew.it. He gasped, as they noliblcd about to tho strains of sweet music. "It's awfully lciml of you to danco with mo—me, the worst dmicer in the room!'" Then he trod on her for the sixth time, and llic girl replied: "Oil, how can you say so?. Why, you hardly seem to touch the floor!" Tho Rev. Father Harnett,' who is about to leave' Masterton for Opunnke, was entertained at .St. Bride's Convent last night .and presented with an illuminated address by the pupils.
