Mr. Kano, in expressing tho thanks of tho men,, said tho Act had practically given them all they desired. Thoy felt absolutely certain that reclassifica- • t:ion would 'bo carried out in a game, thorough maimer. He had not found a singto case of dissatisfaction. Mr. Ennis said that tho Act certainly , mado improvements in tho service. If | classification were done on the lines ar- ] .ranged it would go a'long way to make , tho men work harder and make them' j more contented than they had heen for ( many years. . Mr. Hern'cs, in acknowledging the spirit and purpose of tho interview, Baid tho men's just demands had been , fairly considered. Ho was personally gratified to learn that tlioy appreciated ( the manner in which he had carried out his promises. Ho was extremely pleased : to hear there was a better tone among tho mon; that was what was desired. Ho felt certain the institute would ( ' bring forward only legitimate griev- ' ances, and if they could ho removed . tho remedy would bo provided by tho headquarters staff, tho desire of the head office being to work in entire amity with tho different representatives of the employees. If these cordial relations were maintained it would ho bettor for tho travelling public.
