HUTT & PETONE NEWS.
, (From Our Special Comsuomlcnt.) A special meeting of the Pctono Ambulance Van Committee, the Mayor (Mr. J. W. M'Ewan) presiding, was called last, evening to ' consider the question of asking tho Borough Council to take over tho control of the van. It was decided, after a lengthy discussion, that a. deputation wait on the council at its next meeting, and ask that tho control of tho van be taken over, or, failing this,, to ask if tho council would agree' to horsing tin, van. Tho deputation will'consist of Mrs. Bennett, and Messrs. Smart, Andrews, Turner, and Wilsaji (secretary).
