TERRACE CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH

{ ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of parishioners ot tho terrace Congregational Church was held last night. . Tho Rev. J. Unfortunately, business [ hceessitated Mr. Chanman going to ' Sydney in November, to ido which ho was granted foiir months' leavo of absence, but at the expiration of the term, as his business still required him to be ; away, he. sent in his resignation. At - tho last Church meeting Mr. Christian s Helleniami, who for 12 years held a - similar position at the Congregational ' Cfturch, Petersham, New South Wales, I was appointed organist and choirmaster. ! "Tho Sunday School continues under ; tho superintendehcy of Mr. F. Meadowi croft, who has with him an efficient i staff of teachers. At the aiinual teachi ors' meeting in October .Mr. Meadowcroft, after 20 years' service,' desired i to bo relieved, partly on account of his ; contemplated visit to England, but the teachers would not hear Of it, and pcri snaded him to continue in office. During I his absence, Mr. W. J. Lankshear is ■ acting as deputy-superintendent. Tho average attendance of scholars for the ■ year is 58 ; Although the numher is small the interest is well maintained, and, wo havo reason to believe, good work is being I done."
