{ ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of parishioners ot tho terrace Congregational Church was held last night. . Tho Rev. J. Reed blassoli presided. >' The annual report, which was adopt- •- ed,' showed that the number of members On tho roll was 150, an increase pt eight during tho year. The report • mado' appropriate mention of tho Joss ', by death of two of the best-known mem- ' hers of the congregation, the Rev. I David Mcadowcroft and Mr. John F. * Rogers. f ,"Tho vacancy caused by the resignation " or Mr. Horace Hunt as organist and choirmaster." tho report continued, 'was filled by the appointment of Mr. \ Norman B. Chapman to tho position > on July 2. Unfortunately, business [ hceessitated Mr. Chanman going to ' Sydney in November, to ido which ho was granted foiir months' leavo of absence, but at the expiration of the term, as his business still required him to be ; away, he. sent in his resignation. At - tho last Church meeting Mr. Christian s Helleniami, who for 12 years held a - similar position at the Congregational ' Cfturch, Petersham, New South Wales, I was appointed organist and choirmaster. ! "Tho Sunday School continues under ; tho superintendehcy of Mr. F. Meadowi croft, who has with him an efficient i staff of teachers. At the aiinual teachi ors' meeting in October .Mr. Meadowcroft, after 20 years' service,' desired i to bo relieved, partly on account of his ; contemplated visit to England, but the teachers would not hear Of it, and pcri snaded him to continue in office. During I his absence, Mr. W. J. Lankshear is ■ acting as deputy-superintendent. Tho average attendance of scholars for the ■ year is 58 ; Although the numher is small the interest is well maintained, and, wo havo reason to believe, good work is being I done." Tho principal officers of tho Church 1 for the ensuing year arc as follow:— Deacoiis, Messrs. W. D. Dumbpll,' W. W. Groig, J. Ilott, W. J. Lankshear, W. West Knowles (secretary), and F. Meadowcroft (treasurer); organist and ; choirmaster. Mr. (i. C. C. Hellemann, i A.R.C.M.: Finance Committee, Messrs. ; W. Bedkober, W. Fettes, J. G. Holdsworth. F. Holmes, A. M. Lewis, W. Mil!. H. Rist, W. E. Woods, and the deacons.
