DISTRICT BOARD MEETING

The monthly mcetiuß of the 'Wellington District Laud Hoard was held at'the District Lands uiul Survey Ufficc, Wellington, yesterdayj Mr. Thos. K. Brodrick ((Jumnussioner 01 Crown Lands) presiding. Messrs. J. Dan-son, H. '.!'. iillinßhani, and J. Geor'getti were also present. Tho board examined applications for Section 20, Block IX, Hunua, and Section 11, Block VIII, ffhirinalii, 90 neves 3 roods 31 perches, and -118 acres 2 roods, and decided which of them should have preference, rejecting some applicants who were not considered to be landless. The ballot resulted in Section. 20 beiuß allotted to Mr*. Ellen Haley, of Piriaka, and Seclion 11 was allotted to Mr. W. F. Wise, Raetihi (the only approved applicant).
