Dalgely and Co., Mel., report, having held tueir fortnightly sale in tho Levin yards on Friday, when tlicy offered a heu-vy yarding of both sheep uml tattle, biwubs uud wetneiy elicited keen competition at prices slightly ahead of lato rates; ewes iu Jamb mot rather a. dragging sole. All classes of cattle good market, priceo, if anything, being in favour of sellers. Principal sales were as under:—. Medium two-tooth wethers, 17=.; good two and four-tooth do., IBs. 5(1. to lU. lCd.; good woolly b.f. Jambe, 12s. Bd.; medium lambs, 10s. 2d. to Us.; cull do., ss. 6d. to Us.; empty ewes, 13=. Id. to 145.; fat eivee, 183. sd. Cattle: Store cows, £3 to £4 10s.; light fat heifers, £5 6s. to £5 165.; light do. bullocks,- £8; 18-month heifers, £3 19s. to £4 35.; three-year ptecrs (medium). £0 55.; springing heifers, £6 to £7; bull* £4 ss. to £5 3s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company,, Ltd., report:—At Peililing. on Friday, we had a good entry of eueep ami a heavy yarding of cattle. Sheep sold- well, end Jambs were again in etroiig demand. Cattlo were not ciuitc so brisk, but a. good clearance was made at reduced prices. Sheep: Ham'lambs, 9s. 3d. to lls.; cull tombs, 7s. 6d.; medium lambs, ICe. 7d. to lls. Bd.: fair lambs, 12s. Id. to 12s. 9d.; ewe lambs, good, ■ 14s. 9d.; cull ewes, 8s: 5d.; cull wethers, 13s. 6d.
