Y.M.CA. CAMP WORK
The work acomplished by members of tho Y.M.O.A. last year amongst the Torritorials was folt to be such as to warrant that organisation in again doing something tor, the men who aro to bo under canvass this year at Takapau. Mr. Edward M. Ryan, who took charge of this work last year, left Wellington by the 9.10 a.m. train on Saturday, en route for Takapau to make the necessary arrangements. This year tho Y.M.C.A. will have two large marquees, 60ft. x 37ft., ono of which will' bo well stocked with roadiug and writing material, and also chess, draughts, bagatelle, and quoits material. The other, with a piano, will be used for concerts, etc. Regardless of creed, every man in camp is invited to make uso of the facilities offered, all of which are freo. On tho letter-paper, specially headed Takapau Camp, it is pointed out that tho finance of this department is entirely dependent upon voluntary" subscriptions. Last year somothing like- 6000 letters were 'written in thoY.M:C.A. marquees; '
