Vice-Admiral Robert Henry Simpson Stoke 3 was born in 1855, and entered the Navy at the nje of 14. He served in Egypt in 1882, and at Nicaragua in 18flf>, and occupied various posts until he becamo Superintendent of Dcvonport Dockvard siirco 1910. He held tho Leffion of Honour.
