BUSHING THE DO.OIS, CULPRIT CAUGEET~& PUNISHED. A further caso in conncction with the disorderly proceedings at the Hon. P. M. B. Fisher's meeting at the Town Hall on April 3 was heard in the Magistrate's Court yesterday before Mr. D. G. A. Cooper, S.M., when 'John King was chargod with having wilfully damaged a door, tho property of the Wellington City Corporation. Mr. F. Kelly appeared for defend' ant (who did not appear), and entered ' a plea of guilty. Mr. Kelly stated that tho defendant had jnst served two weeks' imprisonment for disorderly conduct at tho meeting, and ho suggested that a conviction only should be recorded in this caso, together • with an order to mako good the dafiiago done. Police-Inspector Hcnttrey stated, that the doors of the Town Hall'had.been shut when tho hall was full. There were a largo number of people who could not gain admittance, and King incited the crowd to break down a door. The crowd did: so,' and a. constable who was guarding tho door was seriously injured. Hift arm Was practically broken, and he had. to go off duty for sonio days. The accused then got into the hall, and began to'disturb the meeting, behaving in a disorderly manner. Beyond these charges there was nothing known against. King. "The man was .incited by drink, bat this sort of thing cannot be tolerated," said the inspector, "and I ask Your Worship to inflict some penalty."
