COURT OF APPEAL.
'AN OLD RAILWAY ACCIDENT. PRIVY COUNCIL CASE. In January, 1913, there occurred, near Helensvillo, Auckland, ,a collision between a railway train a motor*car, and out of tho mishap arose a claim by one Hill for dam-ages. Hill's claim was heard before a jury, and' ho was awarded £1000. Yesterday morning the caso was mentioned in the Court of. Appeal, sitting in Wellington, and leavo was granted the Crown to appeal to the Privy Council against- tho ver* diet of tho jury. Their Honours on the Bench were the Chief Justico_ (Sir Robert Stout), Mr. Justice Dennistoii, Mr. Justico Edwards, Mr. Justico Sim, antl Mr. Justico Hosking. ' The Soliortor-GeJieral (Mr. J. W.'Salmond) represented tho Crown, and Mr. J. H. G. Murdoch, of Napier, appeared for Hill.
